Airports in Delhi

The main airports in Delhi are two in total, namely the Indira Gandhi International Airport, the Domestic Airport and Safdarjung Airport. Visitors from other countries or the other states of India, should have prior knowledge about airports in Delhi, if they wish to visit the IT India Fair in 2008, to be held in Pragati Maidan.

  • Indira Gandhi International Airport: It is situated in New Delhi and it constitutes the primary international as well as domestic gateways of India. The International Terminal of this airport or Terminal II is known to operate 35 airlines, which fly to the most important cities of the world.

  • Domestic Airport of Delhi: There are 3 excellent terminals of this airport namely Terminal 1A, Domestic Terminal and Terminal 1B. From the first terminal domestic flights of Indian Airlines, the national airlines and Alliance Air operate. From the terminal 1B flights of private airlines such as Jet Airways, King Fisher, Air Sahara, Air Deccan, Paramount Airways and Spice Jet operate.

  • Safdarjung Airport: It is located just 8 kilometers from the city of Delhi and thus very close to Pragati Maidan.

    The airports of Delhi boast of modern and state of the art technology. A certain advanced landing system allows the operation of flights even when the weather is bad and foggy. In the airports passengers can avail of a number of services such as STD and ISD booths, duty free shops, money exchange service, retiring rooms, baggage wrapping service and more.

    The airports of Delhi are located at a short distance from the venue of the IT India Fair 2008.
