ITINERARY
Mumbai is a city of many faces. With its beaches, food and monuments it has always attracted many tourists. The city's long association with the British is reflected in the old world appeal of its buildings made in the Indo-Saracen style. Situated on the coast of Arabian Sea, it also offers many beautiful beaches for its tourists to enjoy sun, sand and sea.

HISTORICAL ITINERARY
There are many forts, caves and palaces in Mumbai, which are a must see for any tourist with a taste in history. Mumbai has architectural landmarks of both Victorian and Indian heritage. Built in 1911 to welcome the King and Queen of England, the Gateway of India is now the most famous historic landmark in Mumbai. The Flora Fountain, which has figure of the Roman Goddess of Flowers, Flora, at the top, was built in 1869 to honor Sir Henry Bartle and Edward Frere. Then there is Marble Palace, which was built in 1855 and has an odd accumulation of attractions: winding stairways, underground cellars, huge verandahs, statues, an impressive collection of antiques and caves with cannons. The Elephanta Caves consist of temples carved from rock that date back to the 7th century and houses the famous three-headed bust of Lord Shiva, popularly known as "Trimurti". Other places of historic interest are St. George's Fort, Vasai Fort and Rajabhai Clock Tower.

CULTURAL ITINERARY
Mumbai houses many museums, art galleries and libraries. Infact Mumbai's Prince of Wales Museum was built in 1904 and has a priceless collection of art, sculpture, china and other antics. Nehru Center, which is a relatively new museum, has a 14-gallery exhibit called Discovery of India. Other places of cultural interest are Archeological Survey Of India Museum and Jehangir Art Gallery.

RELIGIOUS ITINERARY
Mumbai has people of various religions; hence there are numerous religious places in Mumbai. The world famous Haji Ali Mosque is located here. The Mahalaxmi Temple that houses three beautiful gold idols of Hindu Goddesses, Laxmi, Saraswati and Mahakali also attract numerous devotees especially during 'Navratras'. Banganga is one of Bombay's holiest sites and has a group of temples that surround a pool of water considered to have healing powers. Other religious places in Mumbai that are worth a visit are Mumbadevi Temple, Jain Temple and St. Thomas Cathedral.

BEACH ITINERARY
Situated on the coast of Arabian Sea, Mumbai has many beaches. Two of its very famous beaches are Chowpatty and Juhu Beach. Chowpatty Beach is situated on the Marine Drive and it is famous for its 'Bhelpuri' and 'Panipuri'. At night at it is lined with vendors, entertainers and children's rides. On the other hand, Juhu Beach is a long stretch of sandy beach from Santacruz to Vile-Parle and is a very famous picnic spot. Other beaches in Mumbai are Madh Island and Gorai Beach.
