NIT Jalandhar





NIT Jalandhar or National Institute of Technology was previously known as the Regional Engineering College. Being established in 1987, National Institute of Technology is governed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The curriculum of NIT Jalandhar encompasses a whole range of technology-oriented courses all of which have approval from the concerned Ministry.

The postgraduate and Ph. D programs have different admission criteria depending upon the course combination taken by the students.

    NIT Jalandhar is facilitated by such resources as central seminar hall, computer lab, gymnasium, open air theater, library and security services. Also, the institute has separate hostel facilities for girls and boys. While the girls' hostels have a capacity of 252, the boys' hostels have a capacity of 1050.

    The Center of Training and Placement of NIT offers job consultation services to the passed out graduates of the Institute. Also, the placement cell provides hands-on training to the students of the four year long B. Tech course.

    As a whole NIT has today become a prestigious name to reckon with in the index of Jalandhar Colleges, Jalandhar Institutes.
