Taking advantage of the rich
Flora & Fauna of Jammu and Kashmir, the tourism department and the
forest department of the Jammu and Kashmir Government maintain several wildlife sanctuaries and national parks around the state. These sanctuaries keep and breed many endangered animals. The Hangul or the
Kashmiri Stag is one example of such animals.
Jammu and Kashmir, fondly called as the 'Switzerland of Asia' has snow-covered mountains, rocky forests and vast stretch of woodlands, which provide home to some of the animals like snow leopards and snow foxes.
