Zanskar range is situated in the north of Himalayan range. It forms one of the geographical divisions of Jammu and Kashmir. In Jammu and Kashmir, this range acts as a divider between Ladakh region and the Zanskar areas. The total area of Zanskar range is about 15220 sq km. The mountain range occupies a region between Kashmir and Ladakh.
There are a number of passes, that are located in this mountain ridge. Some of them are favorite to the trekkers. The most popular one is the Bawalocha Pass. The other passes situated in Zanskar range are :
