The Jammu and Kashmir Commissions are statutory bodies that have been established under the act of the government of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Some of the other commissions like the Central Water Commission are aligned with the Ministry of Water Resources of the central government. The statutory bodies are responsible for planning and commissioning projects to facilitate the growth and development of the state.
The State Human Rights Commission of Jammu and Kashmir protects the rights of the variegated populace of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The commission has been vested with the powers of acting against those who breach the rights of the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir.
Realizing the necessity of developing the industrial sector in the state, the government of Jammu and Kashmir set up the Jammu and Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and the Small Industries Development Corporation that plans for the upliftment of the industries of Jammu and Kashmir.
