The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission was established under the provisions laid down in the constitution of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The commission is headed by the chairman and the other members of the commission are appointed by the governor of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The functions of the commission are to conduct examinations to recruit government officials in the state. The commission also advises the governor of the state on matters referred to by the governor himself.
The State Human Rights Commission of Jammu and Kashmir protects the rights of the variegated populace of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The commission has been vested with the powers of acting against those who breach the rights of the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir.
Realizing the necessity of developing the industrial sector in the state, the government of Jammu and Kashmir set up the Jammu and Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and the Small Industries Development Corporation that plans for the upliftment of the industries of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Jammu and Kashmir Commissions aid the government in planning the progress and growth of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
