Ever since India's heart wrenching partition form Paksitan, the state of Jammu and Kashmir has been a political bone of discontent between the two nations. In fact India earned its much desired freedom at the cost of continuous political turmoil in Kashmir. The two nations at loggerheads with one another in order to establish an iron grip over the state caused plenty of bloodshed and gory deaths.
The Jammu and Kashmir state parties are trying their level best to keep the political unrest in the state under control and not disturb the underlying integrity. Amongst the various state parties, All Jammu & Kashmir Patriotic Peoples Front is a pro-Indian group of the paramilitary force of the Muslim Mujahedin group.
Another party, the Democratic Janata Dal has merged with the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference in the year 1998 and subsequently broke apart a year later to form a new , independent party.
