Badshuhnun Dumat is a place of much historical importance located in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. This is the tomb of the mother of the famous Sultan Zain- Ul- Abideen.
The elegant structure of the Badshuhnun Dumat is made fully of brick and is located very close to Zaina Kadal. This exquisite work of architecture is a representative of the Shahmiri period of Kashmir. The tomb is an exclusive and unique creation of the period as most of the other architectural works of the Shahmiri style were made of wood. The Bhashuhunun Dumat of Jammu and Kashmir is probably the only such structure in this region.
While on a trip to this heavenly land you can also visit some of the other heritage sites of Jammu and Kashmir. The list of the places of historical importance include:
- The tomb of Sham Ded – This tomb is located in the Poshker village of Jammu and Kashmir. It is dedicated to Sham Ded the daughter of a blacksmith. This pious daughter of Kashmir was initiated into spirituality by Sheikh- ul- Alam.
- The tomb of Shekh Noor-ud- din- Noorani – This is the tomb of Alamder- e- Kashmir. It is located in the Budgam district.
