Pattan


Pattan in Jammu and Kashmir was built by the then ruler King Shankaravarman during 883 to 902 AD. Previously this town of Jammu and Kashmir was known by the name of Shankarapura-Pattan. In the later years, it came to be known as the present day Pattan. The geographical location of Pattan is 34 degree 10 minute North Latitude and 74 degree 34 minute East Longitude.
