Ziarat Alamdar-E-Kashmir


The Khag area under the Badgam district of Jammu & Kashmir is known to be the place where Ziarat Alamdar-E-Kashmir was found. The religious importance of Ziarat Alamdar-E-Kashmir is associated with the great Sufi Master Sheikh Noor-Ud-Din. It is believed that this holy saint of Sufi faith once traveled to Khag to spend sometime in praising the Almighty.

The rock in Khag on which it is said that Sheikh Noor-Ud-Din sat to meditate now houses a shrine dedicated to the saint. According to the mythical archives of Badgam, the Sufi saint left his footprints on the rock which is called by the name of Shah Kaen in Khag.

As a significant destination of Jammu & Kashmir pilgrim tourism, Ziarat Alamdar-E-Kashmir in Khag is respected by all the followers of Sufi faith. Also, people belonging to other faiths are frequently found in Ziarat Alamdar-E-Kashmir exploring the eternal bliss of the shrine.
