Ziarat Chhotay Sahib


Ziarat Chhotay Sahib is one of the most visited and respected religious shrines in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The Ziarat Chhotay Sahib is a significant part of the Jammu and Kashmir pilgrimage tourism in the state. The religious shrine of Ziarat Chhotay Sahib is also known as Ziarat Chhote Shah Sahib.

The Ziarat of Chhotay Sahib is located at the Sakhi Maidan, which is at a distance of just five kilometers from the place of Mendhar. Every year a large number of devotees visit to the Ziarat Chhotay Sahib on the occasion of Urs that takes place for three consecutive days.

The place contains the Ziarat of the great Muslim Saint, Sakhi Peer Chhota Shah. The place has a holy feel and people from both the religion of Muslim and Hindu as well as others, come to pay a visit to the Sakhi Peer.

The Ziarat Chhotay Sahib shares its popularity with another relic. It is the remnants of an ancient construction, which according to general belief belonged to the Pandavas of The Mahabharata.
