Ziarat Sain

The state of Jammu and Kashmir has a large number of religious places that considerably enhance the incoming of tourists and pilgrims in the state. One of the Jammu & Kashmir Pilgrim Tourism spots is Ziarat Sain, which is situated in the Battalkote Village. It is a village in the Mandi block, which forms a part of the Poonch District.

The Ziarat Sain in Battalkote Village is a very famous religious place for the Muslims and is also known as Ziarat Sain Illahi Bakash Sahib. It is the most famous of the Ziarat Sains in Jammu and Kashmir. It is located at a distance of almost four kilometers from Loran and thirty-seven kilometers on the northern side of Poonch Town.

The shrine of Ziarat Sain is positioned on the grass field slope in the middle of the Battalkote Village. The holy place is also a beautiful place filled with natural beauty. The place is surrounded by snow-clad mountains, fields of maize, deep forests and hilly brooks. All these make the shrine of Ziarat Sain Illahi Bakash Sahib a place of unparallel beauty. The great Sufi saint, Sain Illahi Bakhsh Sahib, chose this place over others to build the religious shrine.

The Urs of Sain Illahi Bakhsh Sahib is arranged in the month of May, every year. During this festival time, thousands of people from Mandi, Poonch as well as from other near and far-off places visit the shrine. People from various castes and religions partake in the function.
