National Metallurgical Laboratory



National Metallurgical Laboratory holds the distinction of being the third laboratory to attach with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. Now its membership has gone up to 38. The laboratory's foundation stone was laid in the year 1946 but it started functioning since 1950. The laboratory is funded by Tata Industries Limited and Indian Steel and Wires Products Company.

One of the significant achievements of National Metallurgical Laboratory in Jharkhand is that of being recognized as an ISO 9001:2000 company in Research and Development.
