Kendriya Vidyalaya Kota


Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kota has carved out a niche for itself in the field of education. Tthe city of Kota is blessed with two Kendriya Vidyalaya, numbered as Kendriya Vidyalaya 1 and Kendriya Vidyalaya 2. Both of them are governed by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan comprising of more than 843 schools.

The primary focus of this chain of schools is to provide quality education to the central government employees in particular, though it admits other students also. All the schools including the Kota Kendriya Vidyalaya follow a common syllabus countrywide for easy assimilation of students that belong to transferring parents. It is affiliated to the CBSE board of India and offers a bilingual medium of instruction.

The Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 in Kota was established in 1965 while the Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 in Kota was established in 1994. To provide an all round development, the schools focus much on co-curricular activities. Accordingly, Hindi Diwas, Gandhi Jayanti Celebration, essay writing, quiz competitions, Dance, recitation and such other events takes place frequently. Games and sports, scouts and guides and yoga are given special emphasis for the physical well being of its students. The students are divided into four houses named as Tagore, Shivaji, Ashoka and Roman. This is done in order to bring forth a sense of fair competition, awareness and belongingness among the students during competitions.

The Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kota offers education till senior secondary level and is co-educational in nature. The schools are equipped with elaborate laboratories facility, activity room, well-stocked libraries, computers with hi-speed Broad Band connection, SUPW rooms, music rooms and rooms for proper execution of its other extra curricular activities. The staff members and faculty members are warm - hearted, understanding and open - minded to bridge the communication gap with the students.
