Vizhinjam Rock Cut Cave

Kaudiar Palace

This magnificent old structure was the home to the late Maharaja Sree Chitra Thirunal Bala Rama Varma. This grand palace is admired mainly for its architectural splendour.

Lighthouse Beach

The beach gets its name from the 35 meter tall Lighthouse, placed on the top of a hillock called Karumkal Hill. The Lighthouse Beach is the largest among the three beaches in Kovalam. The Lighthouse can be reached by foot.

Halcyon Castle

This beautiful castle was built by the Regent Queen Maharani Sethu Lakshmi Bayi of Travancore in 1932. Later this castle was converted into a luxury hotel. There are some areas in the castle where non-guests can also visit for free.

Vellayani Lake

Vellayani Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Thiruvananthapuram and also a popular picnic spot in Kovalam. The water in this lake is crystal clear. This lake is a must visit place during Onam and even moonlit nights.
