Pachmarhi, the only hill station of Madhya Pradesh which is located on a large plateau amidst the Satpura ranges, is also called 'Queen of Satpura' for its magnanimous beauty.Pachmarhi, a saucer shaped valley, was discovered by Captain James Forsyth of the Bengal lancers in the year 1857. It was then used as a sanatorium for British troops.

Location: Pachmarhi is located in the Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh at an altitude of 1067 meters. Pachmarhi is surrounded by exquisite jungles, ravines, serene pools, quiet glades, low lying rugged hills and waterfalls. The minimum temperature of Pachmarhi is 4.5 degree celsius in winter and 35 degree celsius in summer.
