Fagu

Lying at a distance of 22 kilometers from the city of Simla, the region of Fagu presents a bagful of adventures for the thrill loving tourists. The region is enveloped by mountainous ranges and overlooks the serene and tranquil valley that lies beneath. Fagu is placed at an elevated altitude of 2450 meters and provides the tourists with a spectacular and panoramic view of the snow capped Himalayan mountain ranges.

A tour of Fagu would include a visit to the nearby hamlets that prosper in the growth of fruits. The slopes of the hills are thickly wooded with a rich cover of forest trees that furnishes the region with a sylvan atmosphere. Katir, which lies at a distance of 13 kilometers from Fagu, is reputed as a camp site. The tourists may visit the small temples that lie in close proximity of the hamlet of Fagu. The temples, dedicated to the local God, Bhantia Devta, are the repository of religion and culture of the region. The temples are decorated with artifacts carved out of wood. At a distance of 10 kilometers lies the market town of Theog that can be visited from Fagu.
