Churachandpur district encompasses an area of 4570 sq. km in the southwestern extremity of Manipur and extends across the latitudinal parallels that spans between 23°55' and 24°30' North on one hand and the longitudinal meridians that stretch from 92°59' East and 93°50' East on the other.
