Archery in Manipur

Archery in Manipur is a part of the heritage and culture of the place. The ancient sport of Archery originated in the sub continent of India and North Eastern India in general. Manipur, in particular, were the pioneers in this field. Archery in Manipur has been in vogue since time immemorial and the use of the bow and the arrow, the equipments required in the sport of Archery, is taught to every child born in Manipur.

The traditional sport of archery in Manipur is practiced all around the year.
