10,225 Villages of Rajasthan declared scarcity-hit

Over 10,000 villages across 17 districts of Rajasthan have been declared scarcity-hit in Kharif crop, as assessed by the Calamity Relief Management Department. The assessment was based on the ‘girdwari’ crop survey reports submitted by the respective District Collectors. According to a spokesperson, the notification would remain effective till 3 July 2014.

Mentioned below are the 17 affected districts of the state of Rajasthan, along with the number of villages that have been declared scarcity-hit.
