17 low-floor air-conditioned buses of the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) were gutted by an accidental fire at the Ambedkar Nagar bus depot in Delhi. As per media reports, the fire broke out around 3 a.m. and the sparks from the fireworks during the New Year’s Eve are suspected to be the cause of the mishap. According to media reports it took about five hours by at least 17 fire tenders to control the fire. Reportedly, forensic examination will be conducted to know the exact cause of the fire.
