Goa Infrastructure

The state of Goa is well connected to the rest of the country as well as to the rest of the world through a well-knit network of roadways, railways and airline services. Of the motorable roads in the state, there are around 224 kilometers of national highways, 232 kilometers of state highways and around 815 kilometers of district roads.

The state of Goa has a good aviation network. The airport at Dabolim links most of the major sates of India, like Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore through regular airline services. The airport also handles various chartered flights coming from various European nations. Mormugao is the major port, handling cargo vessels. Besides, there are minor ports at Panaji and Tiracol, out of which Panaji is the main operative port. Southwestern Railway and Konkan Railway links Goa to the rest of the country through widespread railway network.
