Bhiwani district is one of the districts of Haryana. The district was created on December 22, 1972. The administrative headquarters of Bhiwani district is Bhiwani town.
The Bhiwani district comprises of five sub-divisions; they are Bhiwani, Loharu, Dadri, Tosham and Siwani. They are further divided into six tehsils: Bhiwani, Bawani Khera, Dadri, Siwani, Loharu and Tosham. There are seven constituencies in this district.
The Bhiwani district has 442 villages and other major towns are Bawani Khera, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Loharu, Siwani and Tosham. The Bhiwani district has an area of 4,778 sq km and has a population of 1,629,109 as per the 2011 census with a population growth of 14.32 percent and a population density of 341 people per sq. km. The Bhiwani district is the third most populated district of Haryana.
