While in Porbandar, tourists can also shop for gold and silver jewelry at the local shops and taste the real Gujarat at the restaurants serving 'dhokla' and 'khandvi'. One thing to remember here is that people of Gujarat tend to put sugar in all the food preprations. So if a person wants to have an unsweetened meal, he should mention it to the cook before hand.
