Kanjiramattom Mosque


Kochi's claim to fame is not its monumental seaport alone. It is also a storehouse of heritage architecture that is a melting pot of various patterns. The Kanjiramattom Mosque, located at distance of thirty kilometers from Kochi, is a fascinating tourist frequent.

Six ornately decorated elephants, in festive finery adds a dash of color to the religious fervor. The Kodikuthu also entails the celebrations of Oppana, Mappilappattu, Duffumuttu and Kolkali.

This tourist destination, a must visit on a trip to the backwaters of God’s own country, is well connected and easily accessible. It is situated at a distance of twenty-five kilometers from the railway station of Ernakulam. The visitors who want to travel by air will have to get down at the Cochin International Airport.
