The name Golden Crown befits the beautiful Ponmudi, for it truly adorns God's Own Country, like a precious gem studded diadem graces the temple of a king. It is located at an astounding 3,200 feet above the level of the sea and at a distance of 61 kilometers from Trivandrum in the district of Thiruvananthapuram. A tour to Ponmundi can be easily undertaken as it is well connected by air, railways and road. The Trivandrum International Airport and Trivandrum Central Station are the options for people willing to take the aerial and the rail routes respectively. One can also avail the KSRTC bus services.
