Narsimhapur district is situated in the central part of the state of Madhya Pradesh and lies between north latitude 22º 45' to 23º 15' and east longitude 78º 38' to 79º 38'. The district has a total area of 5125.55 square kilometers and a population of 9,57,399.
The district's economy depends on agriculture and forest resources. Main crops which are cultivated in the area are wheat, paddy, jowar and bajra.
Narsimhapur is the home for a large number of tourist spots. Narsimha Mandir, Bramhan Ghat and Jhoteswar are few of the important tourist destinations.
