Located in a busy financial area of south Mumbai, the Hutatma Chowk derived its name after the disastrous incident of police firing on the members of Samyukta Maharashtra Samiti in 1960. the square is adorned with old houses of British architecture.
Flora Fountain:
The Hutatma Chowk is mostly known because of the Flora Fountain. This a wonderful stone fountain situated inside a fort. The Flora Fountain is now declared as a heritage structure by the government of India.
The beautifully sculptured fountain portrays the Roman Goddess Flora.
