Quite near to Dhanu-Bordi beach is Udwada, a sacred town of the Parsis. There is a large temple housing a sacred fire and is known as the Mecca of the Zoroastrians. The most amazing fact about this temple is that, this holy fire has been kept alive for almost a thousand year.
Although it’s quite hot during summer, the cool sea breeze makes the climate pleasant for the visitors. There are exotic remnants of Iranian and Persian culture.

The nearest airport is at Mumbai, which is about 145km from Dhanu-Bordi. Nearest rail station is Gholwad, 2km from Dhanu-Bordi. State transport buses are available regularly. Private and government hotels are available at all rates. Rooms can also be hired from the local people for accommodation.
