Ganpatipule is located on the western coast of Maharashtra. Unlike other beaches, which are crowded and polluted by the tourists, Ganpatipule is a beach that sustains its natural splendor, blue sea, pristine air and white sands.
Situated at a distance of 375 km from Mumbai, Ganpatipule is regarded as one of the most important beaches of Maharashtra. The view atop hill is fantastic. From here one can see the far stretching blue Arabian Sea and the entire beach of Ganpatipule covered with white sands.
The 400 year old temple of Swayambhu Ganpati, at Ganpatipule, is a famous pilgrimage site. Swayambhu Ganpati is well known for its glorious temple and unique idol of Ganapati.
Malgund and Ratnagiri are among the other tourists attractions in Ganpatipule. While Malgund is the birth place of Keshavsoot, a Marathi Poet, Ratnagiri is the birth place of Lokmanya Tilak.
