Juhu Beach

Juhu Beach in Mumbai is one of the most popular beaches in Maharashtra. Famous for the bhelpuri and chat available at the food stalls lining the beach, the best part of Juhu Beach is spotting a celebrity walking down the Juhu Beach. At the ever crowded Juhu beach tourists can take a horse and donkey ride, play cricket matches, eat some typical Mumbai snacks and watch film shoot, which often takes place here.

With bungalows of Bollywood stars, luxurious hotels, and apartments towards the southern beach, Juhu is the most popular and posh beaches of Maharashtra. Located in the north is Versova, Mumbai’s largest Koli fishing community.

Juhu is not the place where the tourists can take sunbathe or swim in the sea. It’s the most crowded beach in Maharashtra. The weekends are like a carnival at Juhu beach. Huge crowd gather together in a picnic mood to shed off all their tension and tiredness.

Other attractions of Juhu are Hare Krishna ISKDCON complex, Prithvi Theatre and shooting pool at Raspberry Rhinoceros.

Getting there:
25km north from the heart of Mumbai is Juhu. It is well connected by road and rail. Nearest airport is at Mumbai.
