Mahim Nature Park

The Mahim Nature Park is built on 5 meter deep garbage near Dharavi, Asia’s largest slum. A brainchild of Shanta Chatterjee, a corporate lawyer, it took 12 years to build the Mahim Nature Park. This is one of the greatest achievements towards preserving the biodiversity. The park sprawls over 450 acre land. This park nests a variety of birds and animals. Built with an aim for balancing the ecosystem the Mahim Nature Park has a rich diversity of flora and fauna.

Several types of birds could be seen here especially during sunset when the whole flock flies back to their nests.

Getting there:
The Mahim Nature Park is very near to the main city of Mumbai. Mumbai is well connected with other cities of Maharashtra as well as India by road, rail and aviation.
