Dattatreya Temple

Just about 7km from Nashik could be seen the pure white Muktidham temple near Nashik station. You soul would be engulfed in peace and holiness once you see the Muktidham temple which is made up of pure white marble. The temple has a very unique architecture with 18 chapters of Gita engraved on the wall. A visit to this temple is considered as equivalent to visit to 4 Dhams. Nashik is located in Western Ghat on the banks of Godavari River and is famous for its scenic beauty and pleasant weather.

There are many places of attractions around Muktidham temple. The holy tank of Ramkund, which is believed to have been the bathing place for Ram and Sita, the 2000 year old Pandavleni Caves, the picturesque view from the Someswar temple, and ofcourse the largest Artillery center of Asia, can also be reached on a hired car.

The best time to visit Muktidham temple is during the kumbh mela.

Nearest airport to Nashik are Mumbai and Pune. Nashik railway station is one major junction of the central railway. Nashik is also well connected by road. Bus and taxi services are frequent. Private cars are available from Nashik city to Muktidham temple.
