Six persons were dead and 30 injured in train accident at Barwadih station in Jharkhand's Lathehar district. The accident happened when a goods train collided with the Gomoh-Chowpan passenger train. Relief and rescue operations are on and it will take at least 2-3 days to clear the track.
The coal-laden goods train had rammed into the 619 up Gomoh-Chowpan passenger train which was changing over to the main line from loop. Under the impact of the collision, four bogies of the passenger train toppled over while 31 bogies of the goods train, which was bound to Bhatinda in Punjab, jumped off the rails.
