Mizoram Tourism

Mizoram, also known as the land of Blue Mountains, is known for its picturesque beauty. Mizoram tourism implies a vivid tour across the romantic valleys, charismatic hills, quaint villages, deep gorges and the beautiful mountains of the territory.

Some of the important sites that form an important part of tourism in Mizoram are:

  • Tualchang – Tualchang is the biggest monolith in Mizoram. Tualchang is situated near Tualchang village in the Aizwal district.

  • Sibuta Lung – Sibuta Lung is one of the most popular sites in Mizoram. Sibuta Lung is a memorial stone that was erected about 300 years by the Palian chief.

  • Tomb of Vanhimailian – Tomb of Vanhimailan was bulit in the memory of Vanhimailan Sailo.

  • Phawngui – Phawngui, also known as the Blue Mountain, is the highest peak of Mizoram. Phawngpui located in the Chhimtuipui district, is famous for rhododendron and orchids.

  • Mangkahia Lung – Mangkahia Lung is a memorial stone which was erected in the memory of Mangkhaia in 1700 AD.

  • Keibul Lamjao National Park - Keibul Lamjao National Park is situated about 53 kilometers from Imphal and is spread over an area of 40 square kilometers.

  • Manipur Zoological Garden – Manipur Zoological Garden is located on Impahl Kangchup Road. The antlered deer is among the rare species of animals housed in Manipur Zoological Garden.
