A degree in engineering covers a period of four years. Any student who has completed his Class XII exam securing 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together under the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education can pursue engineering. But if the candidate is from a backward class, the percentage of marks is cut down to 45%.
