I’d a sudden call this morning from few guests coming over to our home and as usual the biggest dilemma was what to serve in the snacks with tea or coffee apart from regular biscuits and namkeen. All you need is (serves 4)
Oil – 2 tsp
Zeera – 1 tsp
Heeng – 1/4 tsp
Ginger – 2 tsp (grated)
Green chili – 1 or 2 (cut in small pieces)
Dhania powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp
Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp
Squeezed lemon – 1
Masaledaar Matar Recipe
Preparation time: 5 min.
Cooking time: 15 min.
Boil the peas with about 1 tbsp water for few min.
Heat oil in a pan and when it is hot, add zeera and heeng and wait for it to start crackling.
Add ginger, salt, red chili powder and dhania powder with peas and cook for 5-7 min.
Add green chili, lemon juice and chaat masala and mix well.
Transfer to a serving bowl and serve hot and fresh.
