As per 2017 Forbes India Rich List, India is home to around 101 billionaires. Forbes India conducted the survey. Despite economic tribulations, the net worth of India’s 100 richest billionaires rose by a whooping 26%. The CEO and MD of Reliance Industries is the richest Indian businessman as per the Forbes’ list. Mukesh Ambani has retained the top spot for the tenth consecutive year. Forbes said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “economic experiments” barely affected India’s billionaires while none gained more than oil and gas tycoon Mukesh Ambani. Ambani is followed by Wipro Chairman, Azim Premji with a net worth of $19 billion. Interestingly, this year 101 Indian billionaires make it to the list of Top ranking Indian businessman on Forbes World’s Billionaire list 2017. Despite economic tribulations in India, the combined net worth of India’s 100 wealthiest is around $479 billion, which has seen a significant rise since $374billion of 2016. Here is a list of Top 10 Indian Billionaires as per the annual list of India’s richest tycoon:-

Mukesh Ambani

The CEO and MD of Reliance Industries Limited, Mukesh Ambani has topped Forbes’ list of 100 richest Indian. With a net worth of US$38 billion, the oil and telecom tycoon added $15.3 billion last year. Interestingly, Ambani has retained the top spot for the tenth consecutive year.

Azim Premji

With a net worth of $19 billion, Azim Premji has ranked second on the list. Tech-tycoon, Azim Premji is a big gainer this year as per Forbes’ annual list of India’s richest tycoon.

Hinduja Brothers

Srichand and Gopichand Hinduja have gained the third spot in the Forbes’ Richest Indian list. With a net worth of $18.4billion,  Hinduja Brothers added $3.2 billion to their earlier net. In 2017, Srichand and Gopichand Hinduja were described as the wealthiest men in Britain with a net worth of 16.2billion euros as per the Sunday Times Rich List 2017.

 Lakshmi Mittal

With a net worth of $16.5billion, the steel-baron of India, Lakshmi Niwas Mittal is the fourth richest Indian as per Forbes. He is the chairman and CEO of ArcelorMittal which is the world’s largest steel making company.

 Pallonji Mistry

Shapoorji Pallonji Group’s Pallonji Mistry has become the fifth richest Indian, with a net worth of $16billion. An Irish Indian construction tycoon, Pallonji Mistry is the chiarman of Shapoorji Pallonji Group.

 Godrej Family

With a net worth of $14.2 billion, Godrej Family is the sixth richest as per Forbes’ annual list of India’s richest tycoon.

 Shiv Nadar

The founder and chairman of IT giant- HCL, Shiv Nadar became the seventh richest Indian with a net worth of $13.6 billion. An industrialist, philanthropist, Shiv Nadar is the founder of The Shiv Nadar Foundaiton.

 Kumar Birla

Kumar Mangalam Birla, Indian industrialist and chairman of Aditya Birla Group is the eighth richest Indian with a net worth of $12.6 billion.

Dilip Sanghvi

The founder of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries is the ninth richest Indian with a net worth of $12.1 billion. Dilip Sanghvi was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2016.

 Gautam Adani

With a net worth of $11 billion, Gautam Adani, the founder and chairman of Adani Group became the tenth richest Indian as per Forbes’ list.
