The movie won 43rd National Film Awards along with 41st Filmfare Awards. The music for the film was composed by Jatin-Lalit whereas Anand Bakshi wrote the lyrics. As per HMV, the soundtrack of Dil Wale Dulania Le Jayenge was the best-selling Bollywood soundtrack of the year with 9-12 million units sold.

Chaand Chupa Badal Mein-

From the iconic 1992 film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, the popular song still reverberates in the contemporary times. Picturized on Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan, this song was a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Sung by Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan, Chaand Chupa Badal Mein is five minutes forty-six seconds long song. Mehboob wrote the lyrics for the movie while the music was composed by Ismail Durbar.
