The concept of sequels hits the bull’s eye when films like ABCD 2 are made! After impressing the viewers with some impeccable dance moves in ABCD, Remo D’Souza is back with yet another spellbinding dance film. But, this time its gets much more glorious and starry than you could imagine. Taking the league forward, ABCD 2 turns out to be Bollywood’s best dance film so far!

Plot: The film is inspired by a real-life story of the Fictitious Dance Group, which competed at the World Hip-Hop Dance Championship in 2012. ABCD 2 narrates the story of a group of struggling dancers aspiring to make it big in the world of dance!

Performances: Bollywood has officially got its new superstar! ABCD 2 gives Varun Dhawan what he truly deserved, a pedestal to prove himself as a complete package. Absolutely a treat to watch, he sways in full power and style, mesmerizing the audience with his swag. A resplendent dancer and a sincere actor, Varun is the new heartthrob of Bollywood.

Shradhha Kapoor fits in her role with great dexterity and manages to make a mark. Despite being overshadowed by other brilliant dancers, she tries her best to stand out. Her acting skills have definitely seen much improvement since her last performance in Ek Villain.

Lauren Gotlieb gets a good role in this one. Even though she doesn’t share much screen space, she manages to do her part in the best way. Her dance moves are incredibly breath-taking!

Prabhu Deva is truly the “Guru” here! Nobody can ever match his dance style and energy. His act as a drunkard was genuinely hilarious.

The rest of cast, including Dharmesh Yelande, Raghav Juyal and Puneet Pathak, shines bright in the supporting role.

Music: There can be good dance only if there is good music and ABCD 2 has all of it! The music of this dance-centic film has been composed by the very talented duo, Sachin-Jigar! There are enough high-octane numbers and a few emotional tunes as well. The music hits bang on when it comes to the dance sequels. It is energetic and meaningful at the same time. Each and every song of ABCD 2 can be thoroughly enjoyed. The best ones can be “Chunar” and ‘Sun Sathiya”.

What’s Good: A round of incredibly outstanding dance performances by the cast will totally sway you away! The dance moves are powerful enough to give you goose bumps. Since there is no dance without music, the producers have made sure to get the best music for the film. The actors give their best performances and manage to captivate you with their caliber. The film is full of emotion, humour, dance, music and patriotism, making it a complete entertainer.

What’s Bad: The plot of the film gets a little weak as dance overpowers the film. Also, the lengthy duration could have been cut short a bit.

ABCD 2 is absolutely a mid-year treat for the audience! There can be no second thoughts in calling it the best attempt in making a full-fledged dance film in Bollywood. It gives you a thrilling ride with enough entertainment to keep you engaged. ABCD 2 is undoubtedly a must watch this weekend!

Verdict: Remo D’Souza! THIS IS IT!
