Yesudas BC has produced the movie 30 Minutes, a Physiological thriller, under the banner of Spectral India Media Management Pvt Ltd, which released today. The film has been produced and directed by Yesudas BC.

Starring Hiten Paintal and Hrishitaa Bhatt in the lead roles, the story of the film has been written by Vivek Mishra and the dialogues penned by Rajan Agrawal. Hemant Pandey, Rana Jung Bahadur and Kanwarjit Paintal are in the supporting roles in the film.

Synopsis

The film explains the value of time in a very dark angle. The story revolves around the torture faced by a child, Shashank (Hiten Paintal), through his alcoholic father, who in the process of enforcing absolute punctuality in him ends up making his own son a mentally twisted character because of continuous torture and violent beating.

The childhood experiences cause lifelong psychiatric problems in the life of the child as he grows up to adulthood. While all is seemingly well when Shashank grows up, and he is a normal person balancing his work and personal life, his life gets into serious troubles on many occasions due to his childhood nightmares. Tired and desperate to get over such frequent problems, he plans a very interesting, thrilling and dangerous game called “30 minutes”.

Movie Review

Well, for a psychopath who is not supposed to be valuing time, Shashank is very efficient and is able to do all his work in record time including finding accommodation and acing the copy test that certifies him as a genius content writer.

Cut to personal life, he is also very successful in his relationship for he breezes into his girlfriend Shivangi’s (Hrishita Bhatt) home, pushes away the suitor as matchmaking is in process, and with the help of Raju (Mukesh Bhatt), playing the estate agent, settles the date when he will tie the knot.

The only spoke in the wheel is that Shashank is a full-blown psycho, driven crazy by the beatings he suffered at the hands of his alcoholic father (Kanwarjit Paintal). Every time he is berated for not valuing time, the psychopath hidden deep within emerges. Whenever he is challenged to finish a task under 30 minutes, the inner hulk emerges berating and killing those who dared to defy him.

Unfortunately, the film has a shoddy execution and very few strong points. One can guess the twists even before they occur. The performance of the main characters also remains wanting. The only saving grace in the film is the issue that the film deals with, that of physical violence against kids.

Music

Super Star Akshay Kumar released the music and first look of the film on auspicious day of ‘Mahanavmi’ (October 10, 2016) at ‘The View’, Andheri West, where entire media and full star cast of film were present.
