 About Movie Teraa Surroor

After 2014’s surprise hit, The Xpose, music maestro-cum-actor, Himesh Reshammiya is back with yet another intense love story that revolves around Raghu (played by Himesh Reshammiya) and Tara (played by Farah Karimaee) who fall prey to a conspiracy in Dublin and ultimately find relief. Himesh has worked really hard for his physique and would be seen sporting six-pack abs. Also, his co-star Farah will be sharing a sizzling chemistry onscreen. A treat for Himesh Reshammiya fans, Teraa Surroor has all the ingredients of a Masala flick and is likely to transcend age groups.

 Plot

As the sequel of 2007’s hit Aap Ka Suroor starring Himesh Reshammiya and Hansika Motwani, Teraa Surroor is a musical action thriller with Himesh playing the character of Raghu who tries to prove the innocence of Tara(Farah) who is captive in a Dublin jail for drug smuggling. Raghu seeks the help of Santino (Naseeruddin Shah) who is a convict and earns an income via his jail breaking talent. It is under the guidance of Santino that Raghu plans to rescue Tara. Movie’s second half covers Raghu’s childhood and the reason behind him being the person that he is. Loaded with multiple twists and turns, action scenes and car chases; Teraa Surroor has Himesh as its star, who has completely reinvented himself to play his character in the flick.

Performances

Back as the main lead in Teraa Surroor, Himesh Reshammiya has definitely delivered a brilliant performance. He is superb in slow-motion action sequences and looks steamy hot in his newly chiselled body. Undoubtedly the biggest sport in Bollywood, Himesh has done a fantastic job in Teraa Surroor. His physical transformation has caught eye-balls and his dialoguebaazi regarding patriotism surely deserves kudos.

Debuting as the female lead in Teraa Surroor is Farah Karimaee, who will be testing her luck in Bollywood. The model-turned- actress looks great on the big screen and has been successful in raising the mercury with her bold scenes. Her fabulous acting has proved successful in keeping the audience engaged throughout the movie. Having worked for popular Indian and International brands like Lakme, Envy Deodorants and Tribhuvandas Bhimji Zaveri; Farah is truly a talented and focused actress.

Renowned actors including Naseeruddin Shah, Shekhar Kapur, Kabir Bedi, Monica Dogra and Shernaz Patel are also seen playing pivotal roles in the romantic-thriller Teraa Surroor. While Naseeruddin Shah is seen playing the role of a jailbreak expert who helps Raghu (Himesh) free Tara (Farah) out of prison walls, Kabir Bedi is playing the character of an Indian police chief. Next are Shernaz Patel who has played the role of Tara’s mother and Shekhar Kapur who is portraying the role of an Indian ambassador. These artists have added a lot of drama to the story and actually make a unique cast.

What’s Good?

Well, either you love him or hate him; Himesh Reshammiya has done complete justice to his role in Teraa Surroor. Being well familiar with his strengths and weaknesses, Himesh has made every attempt to woo the audience. Music is indeed the trump card of this romantic thriller. Amazing cinematography, outstanding locations, excellent editing and a glamorous lead actress serve as icing on the cake.

What’s Bad?

Slow narration is the worst part of Teraa Surroor. While the plot could have been better, the twists and turns during the second half are way too tedious to make a note of. The foreign actors could have been guided properly for delivering a natural performance.

Verdict

A true Himesh Reshammiya flick, Teraa Surroor is a typical masala entertainer with some stunning music. If ‘Aap Ka Suroor’ impressed you, Teraa Surroor would definitely please you in a better way.
