Day 30 – Bharuch to Vadodara, Gujarat (Kanyakumari to Leh Cycling)

Feeling cold the whole night–thanks to the breeze coming from the Narmada River–I woke up early in the morning. I was feeling tired but excited that I would reach Vadodara today, where I would stay with my cousin sister and brother. My uncle is in the Army and posted in Vadodara right now.

Best part in the starting of my day’s journey – Sunrise

I cycled as fast as I could and I reached Vadodara in 3 hours and 35 minutes, covering a distance of 76 km. My cycling has constantly been improving and many other cyclists are following me on Facebook who regularly comment on my status updates and motivate me to do better. When I was about to reach Vadodara, I saw a group of superbikers who passed me by, giving me thumbs up and waving at me. A few bikers even stopped up ahead and talked to me as I told them about my journey. They were pretty amazed and excited.

My uncle came to receive me at the Army area barrier. I was very happy to see the Army life after such a long time as I myself have lived in an Army area throughout my school life. I would be staying here for three days, where I would rest a while in homely environment and try to put on some weight (which is a matter of concern for me as I have been losing weight constantly). I’ll also spend some time with my cousins and roam around the city.
