Location of Manali
Manali is a hill station, nestled at an altitude of 6,726 feet in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It is located at a distance of around 250 km from Shimla, the state capital. The hilly town is situated in the Beas River Valley and is a part of the Kullu district. Manali is a very popular tourist destination in the state.

The nearest railway station is located at Joginder Nagar around 163 km from Manali. From here a taxi can be hired to reach Manali. Other major railhead and the most preferable one is around 297 km in Chandigarh.

Manali is located on National Highway Number 21 and can be easily reached from Delhi and Chandigarh. Regular Government and Volvo bus services are available in both cities to reach Manali; also private cabs are available.
Air
Air
The nearest airport is in Bhuntar, just around 50 km from Manali. Air India Regional and some private airline have flights to this airport. The nearest international airport is at Chandigarh.
