Republic Day
Republic Day is celebrated on January 26th every year to commemorate the year the Indian Constitution came into being, on January 26th 1950. This important day is celebrated in the form of a large and colourful parade which witnesses important dignitaries from foreign countries attending along with hundreds of people who show up to attend this famous parade. The parade begins at Raisina Hill, near Rashtrapati Bhavan (the President�s house), along Rajpath and past India Gate. Republic day celebrations include honouring soldiers at the Amar Jawan Jyoti who gave up their lives for the country, giving away prestigious awards like the Ashok Charka and the Pram Vir Chakra and a beautiful, lively parade which consists of the Indian Armed Forces, school children from various schools and floats representing all the states and Union Territories of India.

From here there are regular trains to cities and towns all across the country like Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata and many more.
Road
Connected by a strong railway network Delhi is connected to major cities by a strong network of highways and expressways and is connected to Noida and Gurgaon by the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway and to Noida by the DND Flyway.
Air
Delhi's main airport is the Indira Gandhi International Airport which has regular domestic and international flights to destinations around India and the world.
