Standing at about 7,349 above the Sea level, Ootacamund or Ooty is a hill station in the Nilgiri Hills of Southern India. Often known as the queen of hill, Ooty tourist attractions are naturally plenty.
- Hindustan Photo Films: This one of the most important Industrial units in Ooty. Spread over an area of about 300 acres, the Hindustan Photo Films is located at a distance of 5 Kilometers from the Railway station of Ooty.
- Government Museum: Set up in the year 1989, this museum is an Ooty tourist attraction specifically for its collection of tribal objects and artifacts.
- Botanical Gardens: The Botanical Gardens are one of the primary Ooty tourist attractions. Covering a area of about 50 acres, this garden cover the slopes of the Doddabetta peak in Ooty.
- Ooty Lake: Created by Mr. John Sullivan, a collector of Coimbatore, the lake is the center of Ooty tourist attraction. This artificial lake adds an extra degree of glamor to the hill town.
- St Stephens Church: The oldest Church in the Nilgiri, St Stephen Church is located very near the house of the founder of Ooty, John Sullivan, the founder of Ooty.
- Doddabetta: The highest peak in the Hills of the Nilgiris, this place lies at the juncture of the Eastern and the Western Ghats and is definitely tops the list of Ooty tourist attractions
