The National Institute of Technology at Orissa covers an area of 2.62 square kilometers. Situated at the eastern end of Rourkela city, National Institute of Technology is a residential campus that offers accommodation to the students and the faculty members. The main building of the National Institute of Technology at Orissa is surrounded by electrical engineering, material and metallurgical sciences engineering and civil engineering faculty buildings. One can also come across the Central Library, Academic and Administrative sections in the main building of the Institute. Besides, the campus houses the Student Activity Center, Canteens, Co-operative Store, Computer Center, Research Centers, Temples, SBI Bank, Post Office, Dispensary and Auditorium.
