Orissa Police

The Orissa Police started its journey from the same day when the state of Orissa was born - 1st April, 1936. The present D.G.P or Director General of Orissa Police is Mr. Amarananda Pattanayaka. He assumed office on 1st September, 2006. The police department of Orissa has offices and stations all over the state. For better maintenance of law and order in the state, the Orissa Police has set up outposts in even remote villages.
