Goa General Elections 2024
Goa has a total of two seats in the Lok Sabha,the lower house of the Parliament of India, which are North Goa and South Goa. Due to its limited number of seats, elections will be conducted in a single phase in the state.
The Lok Sabha elections in the Indian state of Goa are slated for the third phase, scheduled on May 7. The deadline for submitting nominations for the Lok Sabha 2024 Election is set for April 19, 2024. Results for the state will be announced on June 4.

Election History
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, North Goa was won by BJP's Shripad Naik, while South Goa was secured by Francisco Sardinha from the Indian National Congress (INC). The voter turnout for North Goa was recorded at 77.05%, while South Goa saw a turnout of 73.31%.
In North Goa, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured victory with 57.12% of the vote share, amounting to 2,44,844 votes, defeating the Indian National Congress (INC) candidate Girish Chodankar, who received 38.40% of the vote share, totaling 1,64,597 votes. Meanwhile, in South Goa, the INC emerged victorious with 47.47% of the vote share, gathering 2,01,561 votes, surpassing the BJP candidate Narendra Keshav Sawaikar, who obtained 45.18% of the vote share, equivalent to 1,91,806 votes.
