Gorakhpur is a city in the state of Uttar Pradesh in northern India. Gorakhpur Parliamentary Constituency is situated near the Nepal border. It is also the administrative headquarters of Gorakhpur Division and district.

BJP party has won consecutively from 1996 to 2004 from this constituency.
